CalcWyse privacy policy. How we handle data, what we collect, how advertising works, and your rights.

The Short Version

All financial calculations on CalcWyse run entirely in your browser. We never see the numbers you enter. We don’t store your loan amount, salary, down payment, or any other financial input — it never leaves your device.

What we do collect: standard web analytics (page views, general location, device type) and advertising data through Google. Both are explained below.

What We Collect

Calculator inputs: Nothing. Zero. Calculations happen locally in JavaScript. We have no server receiving your financial data.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site — which calculators get used, how long people stay, general geographic region (country and city level, not precise location). This data is aggregated and doesn’t identify individuals. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Server logs: Standard web server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

Cookies: We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense). You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Advertising

CalcWyse is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history across sites that participate in the Google ad network.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings or through the NAI opt-out tool.

We do not: sell your data, run sponsored calculator results, accept payment to promote specific financial products, or share your data with financial services companies.

Your Rights

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sale. We don’t sell personal data.

EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. Contact us at calcwyse@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

Everyone: You can clear your cookies, use browser privacy mode, or opt out of Google advertising at any time.

Children

CalcWyse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes

We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted on the site.
